Aaron achieved a big milestone! He started progressively breathing on his own from 2 hours a day in the first week, he got up to 4 hours on Thursday and then totally smashed in on Friday! He maintained his own breathing for smashing 6 hours! The goal is to wean his way off the supporting machine so he can start intensive physio. I am super proud of him!

On the flip side, Aaron is getting a lot of spasms, which are extremely painful for him. The Team is trying to manage that but it just takes time. It is very unpleasant and painful for him. One of the rehab doctors explained that the feeling of spasms is like having a bad crump in the feet, he just gets this across his whole body :(

To build his energy levels he can now introduce more solid foods but he wants to take it easy and stick with his chicken and mushroom soup!

He met an inspirational nurse Pedro who, as well as, Aaron is working hard to support his son in his recovery journey! His determination and drive get Aaron in the right mind frame.

Beautiful Jemma from Mobile Massages Hrts came over one evening to release pressure from Aaron's neck so he could feel more comfortable. It is always great to see her. Thank you, Jemma!

Aaron has two new little friends to keep him company all the time :) Gonzo and Sid!!!

This is a song that summarises how I feel this week, I will never give up on Aaron x
