It has been 2 weeks now since Aaron was transferred to Addenbrooks in Cambridge. Positive that we are now closer to home but in recovery he had a couple of steps backward.
It started with a collapsed right lung that was the result of the journey during the transfer. Quick response from the medics and days of physio got the lung to the correct state.
Following that Autonomic Dysreflexia . It is an episode when blood pressure suddenly goes really high. It was by far the most scary experience so far. Aaron's blood pressure went up to 270 and it felt like he would have a heart attack. Thankfully the medical staff was there and they got control of it immediately. Aaron was settled and back to normal within an hour.
Although all those obstacles that Aaron came across we had little successes to celebrate!
He was transferred to a different room where he had more space and better lighting.
Some more TLC, I did my first attempt at shaving Aaron, which actually turned up pretty well!
He looks 27 again :)!
He had more visitors this week, and some special ones!
Albait 31 degrees in the air Maverick and Thor visited their dad in Jubilee Garden in the hospital. This visit was possible thanks to our dear friend Roydon who helped with the boys. It was a deep and emotional moment for both of us. We will certainly be doing this regularly.

Oh Nuuugget.....I was gutted to hear about your accident matey. You've been on my mind since I heard, I have absolutely no doubt you'll smash this latest challenge and it looks like Dominika and the medical team are doing a fantastic job!
