Aaron's recovery started speeding up! He made incredible progress with his breathing. Managed to stay off the support machine for over 51 hours!
He is now aiming to have his tracheostomy removed as soon as possible, which will mean that he will then be breathing on his own. He will still need some support during the night as our bodies slow down during the night and don't get enough oxygen. When this milestone is achieved the main focus of the next phase will be intense physical recovery.
Currently, he is getting daily physio and again is smashing it! Started controlling his forearms thanks to getting consistent electrical stimulations. With this approach, his determination, and his fantastic physio team he will be getting closer to his ultimate goal.
Aaron's feeding tube has been removed and he started slowly eating solids. He even managed to have his McDonald's cheeseburger! Although hasn't enjoyed it at all. That is a good sign, I may be able to transfer him to the less junk-focused diet, lol!
The nurses who are taking care of Aaron got fed up with his long hair so ... Leane who is a fantastic nurse as well as a great hairdresser chopped all the long hair off!

He had special visitors twice! Our boys Maverick and Thor came to see him. Mav was giving out kisses and was waggling his tail where Thor decided to climb on his dad to get better access to him :)
This was only possible thanks to people who were looking after Aaron. We say big thank you to Vicky, Sacha, Leon, Macy, Emily and Kasia!
As he is now able to watch daily TV, he is now a big fan of Loose Women ;-) Getting educated in a lot of areas so any advice anyone needs Aaron is there to help! haha
We had more visitors coming over, thank you to everyone who is making an effort and is visiting Aaron. Some of them got Aaron laughing when they came in and said 'Now I feel your pain' lol ....
